Junior Pairs at Nationals
Congratulations to Austin Hale and Alexandria Yao.  They placed third in the Junior Pairs category at Nationals. Their score was a personal best at 144.64.  Pictured here with Alena Lunin. Congratulations to Sasha Lunin for placing fifth in the Junior Men’s category the first time competing at Nationals.  He had a personal best score of 161.39. And congratulations go to our guests, Nicolas Frantz and Katherina Frantz.   They placed fifth in the Novice Pairs category at Nationals. Congratulations skaters!!

Congratulations to Alexandria Yao/Austin Hale for their assignment to represent Team USA at 2017 Bavarian Open in Oberstdorf, GER on the week of February 14-19, 2017 Best of Luck and safe travels Allie, Austin and their coach Alena Lunin Go Team USA! Alena Lunin Programs Manager/Skating Director.

Passing USFS Tests
Midwestern Sectionals

Congratulations to Austin Hale and his partner, Alexandria Yao.  The pair finished first place in junior pairs short and lonanimated-pictures-g at Midwestern sectionals at Colorado Springs.  They will compete at Nationals in January!! FWISC would also like to congratulate Sasha Lunin for placing 4th in junior men’s at Midwestern sectionals with a final score of 144.42. He advances to nationals!! Arisa Hocharoen and Andy Deng also represented FWISC at sectionals in juvenile pairs, coming in 7th. This was their first qualifying competition. In other news, former FWISC skater, William Hubbart, placed first in junior men’s and second with his sister, JoJo, in pairs at the Eastern sectionals. FWISC is rocking the skating world!

Advanced to Final Round of EGL

CONGRATULATIONS to Adderly Surack and Ashley Szymanski for advancing to FINAL Round at EGL.

  • Adderly Surack – 1st Place in pre-preliminary group B
  • Ashley Szymanski – 3rd Place in pre-juvenile group B

Faye Kropf - Skater of the Year
Faye Kropf was selected as “Skater of the Year” for all her accomplishments with tests passed and skills mastered.
Meghan Halaburda was awarded the Lindsey Jackson Sportsmanship Award as voted on by the skaters.
Cindy Wellman was awarded the Jim Pelletier Volunteer of the Year Award. 
Jillian Parrot was selected as the skater Volunteer of the Year
