Thank you all!! We put on a great competition. All the other clubs think we really do a good job. Thank you to all the volunteers who committed to a shift and thank you to all the volunteers who jumped in and did jobs you didn’t commit to. We could not do this without each of you. We had the rink back to normal and all cars loaded within an hour of the last event.

I want to especially thank Kelly Parrot and her mom & mother-in-law and Michelle Ashley for keeping the judges and coaches fed and happy, Aiden Parrot for freezing himself playing music for 7 hours Saturday, Chet Gilbert for hauling all our stuff back & forth to the storage locker and manning the resale booth most of the time, all of our skaters who did their events and pitched in as runners, Theresa Overy who not only competed but kept registration organized and flowing, Angela Zimmerman for organizing the awards presentations, Chanchai Hocharoen for getting us quality vendors, Lisa Surack for getting all the medals & ribbons and working several shifts as an ice monitor, Mika Sundstom for providing healthy snacks for the volunteers, and everybody else who donated food and time to make this hugely successful.

Thank you to all!

Nancy

Hello, all!

Thank you to all of our parent volunteers who jumped in to help out at the FWISC Resale Booth for Battle of the Blades! Thanks also to everyone who participated by bringing in gently used skating items for the booth! We truly could not have done it without all of you!

For those of you that brought items but did not get to come back to the booth at the close of sales, any unsold items are in the coach’s room at the rink. Nancy Halaburda (nancyhalaburda@yahoo.com) is holding all of the cash envelopes that weren’t picked up yet. We will be working to make sure items and money is distributed to you as soon as possible.

Kind regards-

Tess Gilbert
